Our Story

The Avocado Lebanon Association (ALA) was formed by a group of dedicated growers and exporters who saw the need for a unified, farmer-led platform to support Lebanon’s growing avocado sector. After years of informal collaboration and joint export trials, they came together to create an association focused on sustainable production, market coordination, and shared standards.

ALA brings together diverse actors across the value chain to improve quality, connect with new markets, and strengthen the voice of Lebanese avocado producers—locally and globally. Built on collaboration and driven by a long-term vision, ALA is working to shape a more resilient and competitive avocado industry for Lebanon.

Vision

To establish a sustainable and competitive avocado sector that improves the livelihoods of Lebanese farmers and strengthens Lebanon’s position in local and international markets.

Mission

We support Lebanese avocado farmers, exporters, and value chain actors by improving production practices, facilitating market access, and promoting quality standards, in order to build a sustainable and competitive avocado sector.

How We Work

At ALA, we work side by side with avocado growers to help them grow healthier trees, produce better fruit, and reach the right markets. We support the setup of new orchards by offering advice on harvest and post-harvest practices. Our focus is on practical support that makes a difference on the ground.

We help farmers meet both local and international standards. We also create links between growers, exporters, and buyers—opening the door to new partnerships and stronger market opportunities.

Beyond the farms, ALA helps put Lebanese avocados on the map by facilitating networking and participating in key events, from field days to international trade fairs. Everything we do is about bringing people together and raising the profile of Lebanese avocados—locally and globally.
